Some Bible verses are comforting. Others are deeply confronting.

Verses about God’s judgment on the wicked fall into that second category. They remind us that God is loving and merciful, but also holy and just. Scripture repeatedly shows that evil, wickedness, oppression, and unrepentant sin do not go unnoticed forever.

One thing that stands out in these verses is that God’s judgment is never described as careless or unjust. The Bible presents Him as patient, righteous, and fully aware of every action, motive, and hidden thing.
